Texas Name Change
Hello,
My wife (USC) and I (UKC with GC) have recently moved to Texas. We previously lived in the UK for a number of years where we got married.
Now in Texas, my wife wants to change her maiden name to her married name. Our marriage certificate is a UK one.
Also, my wife's US passport is due to expire in the next 6 months so naturally when we apply for a new one, it needs to be in her married name.
Has anyone recently gone through the process of doing this with an "out of country marriage". The SS offices seem to still be online or phone only and mention that I have to mail my original documents in which I am a little nervous about.
Thanks,
Matt
