Question: If married outside the U.S. and processing a K3, can I file my taxes as a
status of married? How do I do this when my spouse can't have a SS# until she
arrives? Is there another number that can be used for purposes like this?

Answer: She can apply for Individual Tax Identification Number. For more information,
go to http://ftp.fedworld.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1915.pdf.
