Has anyone heard what is happening at Sydney ? I faxed a request for a provisional
file at the end of last week.

Today I phoned their enquiry number and was told by 'Robert' that they werent
on-line, they must be doing their processing, call back later ... (all this at $2.75
per minute).

When i called back later, I spoke to 'Robert' again, and he was apologetic, told me
they hadn't been on line at all that afternoon (this was at 4.30pm). They were closed
on Monday for a Public Holiday, and they were extremely busy coping with a backlog
because they were running on a 'skeleton staff'. According to him, they were, only
handling high-priority matters.

So about $20 later, i am no nearer finding out whats going on, except that
apparently they are very slow at the moment, and that they 'might' call me back..
but not before Tuesday.

Hi, Doug,

Thanks for sharing your information. Steve and I might know more in the next couple
of weeks, as he will be sending in his checklist and request for interview by October
10th. I wonder what constitutes a "high priority" case.. if we learn anything, I will
be sure to pass it along to you! - Rae

try it with the trailing 'index.html' and see how you go, opens fine for me in
interent explorer 5 on PC.

Ok, who buys dinner first ? actually i think Raes fiance is down here in
melbourne with me.... fingers crossed we all meet at the consulate in the next
month. How busy can they be? i was reading somewhere that all of Oceania had
something like 180 K visa applications last year - (ok, bet i get jumped on if i
recalled that incorrectly )

Nope, your page does NOT work at all. Back to the drawing board. ;o)

Clear your browser cache and I am sure that you will no longer be able to load the
page either.

Thanks Jonathon, it's actually a DNS error at the server, which Frank is trying to
fix, the whole 'marriagebasedvisas.org' site is currently offline.

cheers

I just checked, neither your site nor marriage-based visa sites are working at this
time, 10:22 pm ET. That is a bummer. Well, hoping you get it fixed soon.
