Hi all

We sent our i129F package to the recorded delivery lockbox at lewisville. We sent it April. Think it was around 9th? We are still awaiting the receipt with our number and where our application is being sent to.
Is it unusual to wait 5/6 weeks and not here of noa1?
Could we just not get one, even though we included that form to say we would?

Has your check been cashed? Did you send it with a signature requirement?

I believe everyone gets the NOA-1

That was our first package which we didn't send recorded. It got lost and was advised to re send

So they are both true.

Ah, okay! As you were advised back then, if you send a check you can watch your bank account to see if/when the check clears - that's proof that your package was accepted and they're working on it. Sometimes, people simply don't get email or notice in the post.

Whenever you mail something to USCIS, you should always send it certified mail, return receipt requested. That way you have a record of the date it was mailed out to them, AND the date they signed for it. If you didn't send this one that way, do so with future applications.

Has the money been taken from your bank account? That would be an indication that your I-129F package was received.
