STATISTICS on the couples
I made a little statistic out of the data you posted in the thread
"how old are you?" since I started the thread. Yeah I know, I got way
too much time. I'm leaving for the US in 2 weeks so I'm pretty excited
about that, and a little scared......
Anyway, the number of couples involved in the statistic is 39 to 40 (a
couple of them were incomplete).
The statistic shows that 52.5% of the US petitioners are female and
47.5% are male.
The US petitioners are by avarage older than their foreign companions.
The avarage age of the petitioners is 36.1, the beneficiaries 33.3.
The male/female avarage age regardless of where they come from are
similar (34.9 for females, and 34.5 for males).
In 42.5% of the couples the female member is older than the male. In
37.5% of the couples the male is older than the female, and in 20% of
the couples they are of the same age.
The avarage age gap between the male and the female in all the couples
is 5.3 years. For the couples with an age gap the avarage age gap is
about the same (6.6 years) for the couples where the male is older and
the couples where the female is older.
About 74% of the couples met on the internet, half of those pointing
out that they met in a chatroom. About 7% of the couples met because
the USC was in the military stationed abroad.
46.1% of all foreign spouses/fiances are from various European
countries. 20.5% of all foreign spouses/fiances are from the UK and
25.6% from other countries in Europe. 30.7% of the foreign
spouses/fiances are from Canada. Only a smaller percentage are from
Asia (10.2%), Australia and New Zealand (5.1%), Africa (5.1%) and
South America (2.5%).
So make of this statistic whatever you want. Statistics are not a
reflection of reality, they're just statistics. This one doesn't
really show the main picture because it only involves a small number
of couples and it might not even be 100% accurate, but I guess it
shows a little on the people visiting the newsgroup.

Re: STATISTICS on the couples
I found the figures interesting, if you don't, then why bother making petty and immature comments. Its a case of just enjoy this forum or shut up, most of those who post can draw their own conclusions as to who falls into the 1% looser catagory. My own opinion is it is not the person who posted the data, but you .

You can prove anything with statistics, 14% of people know that!!!
Seriously that was really interesting reading, more stastics about pirates would of been better.

I also found the statistics interesting. Up until two years ago, I didn't think most guys were interested in older women, even though my now fiance' tried to convince me otherwise.
All in all, it's nice to see a group of people who are more concerned with love and the person, instead of age.

I don't think Marjeta was trying to prove anything, just sharing what was observed from the group that replied to the original question. I thought it was an interesting read

P.S: It's good to see that people are doing something constructive with their time, rather than make snide comments about others. (Mentioning no names).

Here here, good point about snide comments. it really makes my blood boil when people respond the way they do. The poster sent some interesting data, and obviously spent a bit of time preparing and researching the information.
I too am a toy boy, and proud of it, i'm 47 and my girlfriend is 91 but she doesn't look a day over 50. ( jesus hope she doesn't read this or i'm dead)
Rob.
PS. she's not really 91, but 50, although some mornings after a party night i'm not so sure.

A man of few words. I have seen your post(s) before (i.e. "i want my
wife now") and I think maybe if you try hard enough you could even put
two sentences together. I won't say ignore the post if you don't like
it. But avoid labeling people (i.e. "loouser") when you don't know
what you're talking about.
