I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for almost 2 years, me in Scotland
her in New York(US citizen). I am awaiting my divorce after which we want to get
married, with me coming to live in the US.

Can anyone tell me how long on average this process can take and how do we prove that
we have been in a relationship for this amount of time?

I regularly come and stay at her house and she occasionally comes to my house. we
also telephone eachother 3-4 times a day at great cost to ourselves are any of
these proof?

I met an American girl on the internet and we became more than pen-pals, like you we
phoned several times a day. We met on-line March 14th, and Stina came over to England
October 10th, the first time we had met in person was when i picked her up at
Gatwick. We married on the 14th October at my local registry office. There was
(surprisingly) no trouble doing this, i booked it before Stina came over, just
needing the originals of her birth certificate and divorce papers. You might find
this a fuss free way to get married. Stina returned to the US and put in my
application papers and we waited, and waited...... After 10 months Stina got in touch
with her Congressman, and two weeks later i had my date at the American Embassy in
London. I took photographs of us together (Wedding pics), copies of E-mails, and love
letters and cards we had written. I was asked several questions about our
relationship, how we met and what will i do for work when i get to America, Plus some
"trick" questions to find out if we had a genuine relationship. Nerve wracking at the
time, but looking back now no problems really. I came out the Embassy with all the
visa stuff and called Stina on my mobile phone (VERY expensive!) and she screamed in
my ear! i was in Tennessee two weeks later. I have been here 17 months now and we
are very happy together. Good luck to you both, Garry Fitch.

Hi, Kenneth.

Based on what you've said, you have two options: K-1 Fiance Visa or K-3 Foreign
Spouse. These visas are among the fastest to get. You're only real waiting is the
finalizing of your divorce.

At betogethernow.com, we've been able to complete the visa process within these
categories for our clients within 3 months on average.

If you'd like more information on how to apply and/or what you should do next, please
