I am really worried now that I have heard that people at the end of October have got their approval. My first NOA was dated 8 October 2002 and still no word. What should I do?

I tried to speak to the US Consulate in Hong Kong and they said there is no way I can apply for a visit visa. This is so depressing.

I just don't understand why some applications are approved so quickly and some so late. Perhaps someone can help answer this. Thanks.

so sorry to hear of your long wait. It seems though that Aug thru Oct were slow. Have some peace during the holidays knowing that it is coming, although slowly. We are all wishing best wishes and speed to come you way. Jill
