Hi All!
My fiancé just called me from Detroit airport and she cleared INS. If nothing else
goes wrong she should arrive at BWI airport at around 3:30
p.m. today.
THANK GOD!!! I don't even want to have four days like I just had.
Take care,
Mike

Congratulations Mike.
Now walk her into the S.S. office for that card. Would be a switch if you didn't identify yourself and see what happens when they see the K-1 visa.
Have a wonderful reunion.

Congratulations Michael. It must have been harrowing experience for you. I can
imagine nothing worse than being turned away at the POE. Thanks for alerting the
newsgroup to what could sometimes go wrong. Best wishes to you both, Ranjini

Yes and I'm another one, headed to the interview, who will make sure that they
revalidate the petition.

I am so happy for you and your fiancée and I hope that the others who are going
through this right now are able to have the same results you did. Good luck and
please welcome your fiancée to the USA for those who are already there and those of
yet to follow. The original poster and your experience has helped many of us on here
to be more prepared. You know the saying forewarned is forearmed. My petition is 7
months old and has not been revalidated. Because of this, we are now in the process
of OFFICIALLY revalidating it.
Thank you again, and the best of luck and happiness to you both

Note that it wasn't Michael's fiancee that got turned away at the POE but it was as a
result of the other person being turned away that he got the info. that allowed him
to get the K visas revalidated correctly. This is a really good example why you
shouldn't follow the advice of the person who said don't read the newsgroup because
you'll only get yourself worked up over nothing!
