Default Separation before naturalization interview

I have a hard time with my wife who is an USC and we are thinking in separation.I got already my 10 years green card and I received NOA to appear for naturalization interview after a few weeks.I am applying based upon 3 years marriage to an American citizen. In case if the separation happened then I know that I should stop the process because we are not living together on the time of the interview . my question is how to notify USCIS that I am no longer eligible to get naturalized based on 3 years rule and close the application ?

Thanks

You can probably write a letter to your local office and have them withdraw the application. Or you can make an Infopass appointment and tell them in person. Or you can show up on the interview date and tell them in person. It's probably best to cancel it sooner than the interview date, so they can reassign that slot to someone else's interview.

Best Wishes,
Rene

I would probably write a letter, or set up an infopass appointment. I wouldn't take it to the stage where I have to go to an interview to tell them that I am no longer eligible.
