Default Sent I-130 and more to US London Embassy - what next?

After some hassle with filling out tax forms for my USC wife (currently living with me in London with ILR), we've sent some initial paperwork to the US Embassy in London. This included an I-130, G-325a, photo's, marriage certificates, prior divorce records, $355 and a stamped addressed envelope. The package was posted, appropriately enough, on 4th July (also my birthday).

All we've had back is a photocopied sheet, hand enscribed to indicate the pack was received on 9th July.

Probably yet another dumb question, but what should happen next? And when (if anyone out there has a crystal ball!).

Thanks for easing our concerns ...

See this Guide and Flowchart to get more details on DCF (Direct Consular Filing) and the steps involved:

LOL, basically, yes. Until you are requested to fill out the visa application forms.
