San Jose AOS interview success!!!
Hello everyone,
I had a successful interview at San Jose INS and wanted to share my
timeline and experience for other readers' benefit.
July 16-Applied for AOS along with i485 and AP and EAD all in the drop
box
August 17-recd EAD at the INS office
October 23-recd SSN from SSA (yes, it took more than 2 months to get
an SSN!!)
November 14-Fingerprinting done
December 18-AOS interview success
AOS interview:
The officer that interviewed us was a very nice gentleman. He made us
feel comfortable and relaxed. He took my wife's current work contract
(she is my sponsor), my work contract, utility bills, bank statements
and said that these are all that he needed.
He was impressed that we had all our documents together and in place
and commended us for that.
Green card letter:
The much awaited GC letter arrived in the mail a few days, saying
"Welcome to the United States"...
They made a mistake in the spelling of my name, though. Now, I am
waiting for the actual GC to arrive in the mail in the next 3 weeks as
per the letter.
Thanks so much to everyone on this newsgroup, especially to Rete and
others. As far as I know, this is THE best NG on this subject.

Congratulations. One last favor to ask of you. Would you mind posting your experience on the AOS interview experience pages for us? The URL is: http://www.kamya.com/interview/intro.html
It would be greatly appreciated.
