Default RFE lost in mail

I have been waiting 210 days for my K1 petition and the BCIS online
status says an RFE was mailed to me on the 8th (9 days ago). I haven't
received it yet and it is almost certian to be lost in the mail (I am
only 30 miles from the CSC).

I've made 3 calls to the 800 number and each time I am given a
different answer: 1 Mail is sent in bulk and may not have been
mailed yet 2Call back 14 days from the time it was sent 3.)Call back
30 days from the time it was sent and file a complaint

It seems impossible to have a duplicate sent to me! Is there any
recourse for me other than waiting 30 more days? Thanks to anyone for
your time! Dave

You might want to wait a little bit longer. For whatever reason it seems to
take an interminably long time to get mail out of USCIS facilities. My
receipt for filing an I-751 took over a week to be sent from the date
written and I once had an AP document mailed to be several weeks after it
was done.

Does it say on your on line status that if you haven't received anything within 14 days that you should contact them? I think that's what it said with our NOA1 and NOA2 notifications. I would go with the 14 day mark.

Just a thought.

MarDar

PS I hope that the RFE isn't too much and at least you know someone is looking at your case It's nice to know it's off the shelf.

Yes, it says to call in 14 days, but one of the operators told me 30
days when I called in so I'm prepared for anything about now. And yes,
I'm happy they have at least touched my application and hope the RFE
is just a typo on my part, or a request for original documents.

Hi:

1. Use the fax inquiry system which CSC has. It does work.

2. Hire an AILA attorney who has access to the AILA inquiry seystem. BTW, use of the FAX inquiry system obviates access to the AILA system.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of a fax inquiry system. Is there info about it
on the BCIS website (I have searched with no luck)
