RFE Envelope ??

RFE Envelope ??
Maybe it is the stress and slight compulsiveness with this question;
but, my USC hubby is not available to get his mail and his well
meaning brother is watching out fo mail. We asked him to open anything
official looking...and since it has been a month since we sent things
in and no cashed check or notice of Chicago service center accepting
our K3 129f with a 1NOA...What does the evelope look like or how is it
stamped when getting an RFE???Is is a slip? or page? I know this seems
a bizarre question but it is as if our paperwork disappered and we
have the return receipt it arrived. The brother says nothing yet
looking official and I am kinda perplexed--I hope the approval(2NOA)
doesnt take 3 months after we do finally get a 1NOA...good grief

How do you know for sure that you are getting an RFE?
If they never cashed the check.......then probably they never received the petition.
