Rete - Your Advice Please
I'm sending of the forms ect to renew my EAD this Friday. I'm not sure
if I will send them my unexpired EAD card or just a photocopy of it as
it dose not run out until March 2004. What do you or anyone else
think? I'm thinking of just sending them a photocopy since its not
expired yet because I still maybe asked for it while waiting for my
new one.
Would you or anyone else think this is the correct way to go.
Thanking you in advance.
Mick.

Hi Mick,
Husband renewed his EAD.
We originally mailed everything in May after being assured by the 800 number people that Bloomington accepted mail. I photocopied Dave's original EAD as it states in Part 3 of the instructions that if you are mailing your application, include "...a copy of I-94 (front and back), a copy of last EAD (front and back), 2 ADIT photos...".
Under the section entitled EAD Applicants Who Have Filed For AOS it states to also send a copy of your receipt showing that adjustment is pending.
Of course, for us, this was all mute as we got the package back in the mail a few days later with a note saying that Bloomington does not accept mail. So, closer to the time the EAD was due to expire, we went and stood in line and they just took his old EAD away.
Hope this helps a bit.
