Default Rejected N-400 ???

Hi Group, I submitted my N-400 citizenship application to CSC three weeks
ago while I am still waiting for my I-751 to be finalised. I'm still married
to my USC husband and I'm already into the 90 day period before my third
year anniversary of conditional permanent residency, so I expected my N-400
to be accepted but put on 'hold' till my 751 is approved ... however ... I
just received a letter from the CSC returning my application because their
initial screening determined I am not eligible for naturalization at this
time.

What gives ? Was I mistaken in understanding they would hold my N-400
pending finalisation of my 751 ?

Does anyone know where the relevant law or procedure reference can be
located, as I would like to write back to the CSC stating the relevant
section and bring this to their attention.

Help ?? Any other advice ??

Thank you.

Hi:

Been there done that -- sent it back with a letter and copy of the I-751 receipt.

Please ask them to combine the files.

If they reject it again -- sue.
