RFE - Request for Further Evidence- you should get a letter in the mail stating what information they need.

From what I've read, it could add a few weeks to your wait. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

People keep advising that an RFE can add a *few weeks* to someones waiting time! We received an RFE and was given similar advice (i.e. that our petition would be processed quickly once the additional evidence was returned) ...... we are still waiting for our 2nd NOA more than 11 weeks later!!

Once you get an RFE there are absolutely no guarantees whatsoever as to when processing of your petition will be finalised ......... you might be lucky enough to get your 2nd NOA within days, however, it is also possible that you could be waiting for several weeks or months ..... you might even be unfortunate enough to get a 2nd RFE!!

Did you ever hear from them as to what further evidence they needed?

Sal
.........and it is so frustrating that it can actually take the SC longer to deal with an RFE than it takes to deal with the initial processing!!!!!

Sure is
After doing the initial processing,You would think they would do it straight away. That was not the case with us!!!!
It made it fill as though we were put back to the bottom of the pile......

Default RFE....

I see that there are several of you upset about the RFE's, I would be pissed also... However, I still have a month or so to go for my NOA2 I am curious to know what type of info they, "Alleged" that you all left out. Examples:

Did you not inlcude photos, plane tickets, DNA samples? For those of you that have RFE's what is the deal? What is missing... Please share with the rest of us with you in the misserable journey throught the INS/BCIS...

Ours was simply a case of the Judge's signature being missing from Kem's divorce papers.
