Questions on I-130
I have seen that there is more then just a spouse visa under the I-130.
Why is that? I also have wondered why I have never noticed, At least I
dont recall., anyone using it for the other purposes of filing for a
child under 21, unmarried son or daughter under 21 , brother or sister.
Some of them are for U.S. citizens filing and some are for persmanent
residents filing.
I just wondered about this

I don't why you haven't noticed, but it is the normal form used for
petioning for a family member. Many people here have filed it for
stepchildren at the same time as when they filed for a spouse.

The I-130 is used as the visa petition for ALL the family based immigrant classifications other than battered spouses.
