question K-1 Interview - London
The London Embassy received our packet 3 forms on April 16th and we were
wondering how long it should take before we hear from them with an interview
date. My fiance is here in the states and needs enough notice to fly home
for the interview. He has been renting out his place in the UK and told his
tenants to call us when packet 4 arrives, but they seem a bit thick. I'm
afraid they might somehow "forget". Could some of the London Embassy people
who have gone thru the interview list your time lines? Much appreciated.

It depends. Have you received your 2nd NOA (approval).
I had a provisional file open with London before they stopped it. After being approved from NSC, it took just under a month for the file to go to NVC, then London, and then for London to issue my interview date. And my interview date was for just 7 days later. I received Packet #4 on April 23 for an interview on April 30.

* 11/12/02 submitted I-129F to NSC
* 11/13/02 Police Certificate Applied for
* 11/15/02 1st NOA receipt date
* 11/23/02 received NOA document in mail
* 12/03/02 Opened Provisional File at London Consulate
* 01/08/03 Received Police Certificate
* 03/24/03 2nd NOA-----Note: we found out we were approved by calling the telephone case status check. The online status message didn't change to showing us as "approved" until March 28, 2003-----
* 04/03/03 NVC received file from NSC
* 04/08/03 called NVC - our file is still being entered into the system
* 04/10/03 called NVC - our file was sent to the London TODAY
* 04/14/03 received notice of receipt and action from NVC
* 04/23/03 received Packet #4 and interview date from London Consulate
* 04/30/03 K-1 interview at London Consulate

Re: question K-1 Interview - London
We received our 2nd NOA from Nebraska on Feb 18th and never opened a
provisional file. (we weren't in a hurry at the time) At that time, they
didn't sent approvals to the NVC. We received our packet 3 and mailed it in
London, estimated the Embassy received it by April 16th. It's been almost 2
weeks and I'm a bit anxious to hear something. Would it be a good idea to
email the embassy?

You could always email them and ask them about your case status and if you have an interview date as of yet. I did that and they got back to me in about two days. The email address is on the Website.
We got packet four about one month after we got our 2 NOA.

thanks for your replies. I think I'll email them too just so we know and
can breathe a little easier.
