Question on "Affidavit of support (I-864) Processing Fee Bill"
I filed I-130 for my children when I was a PR.
Now, I became a Citizen and I wrote to NVC to upgrade my petitions.
I received letters that all my cases are upgraded.
Now I received letters for the Affidavit of support (I-864) processing
fell bill.
I have no idea what they are.(I think that I can file I 864 by myself
without any fee.)
Please somebody enlightens me.
Thanks in advance.

If the applicant is undergoing consular immigrant visa processing, there is
a mandatory fee for I-864 processing, charged by the Department of State.
This fee came into effect over 2 years ago. See
http://www.getusavisa.com/pdf/864Fee.pdf.
If the applicant is undergoing adjustment of status within the U.S., then
there is no fee for the I-864. Adjustment is handled entirely by INS, and
INS has no fee for the I-864.
