Default Proper presentation for the big K1 day

My fiancee won't ask..forgive me sweetie..but he has so much paperwork..my
Affidavit of Support was at least 40 pages (banking statements to prove
deposits last year).. in what form has everyone made their presentation of
documents.
Thanks...don't want to overwhelm the INS..but they asked for so much!

Hi there,

Is this for your fiance's K1 interview? I had mine in London, UK and I took everything in a big zipped up folder, organised the way the documents on my packet 3 checklist (or IV-15) were.

I was asked for my photograph, birth certificate (copy and original), police certificate (copy and original) and affidavits of support (we had a co-sponsor). I had a lot of supporting documents with me which weren't required, but it's best to be over-prepared!

Hope this helps you.

Peace,

D.

Actually, INS has little to do with the documents you speak of. It is DOS.
Consulate is DOS, not INS.

IF, IF, IF your are qualifying on income AND ASSETS, you DO need more with
your I-134. However, if you are qualifying on income alone, you only need a
letter from your employer OR two most recent paystubs. That is all.
If qualifying with assets, then you will need A (one) bank letter from each
bank used to qualify, nothing else. You should NOT have 40 pages in your
Affidavit of Support! More is not better. What is best is to submit EXACTLY
for what they ask.

If you qualify with your income, you need a letter from your employer and/or
two most recent paystubs. You don't need to declare your assets in this
case. No bank letter is required by MOST consulates IF you qualify using
income alone... YMMV
