Default Poorly controlled diabetes

I dont know if anyone can put my mind at ease (probably will go the other way). I'm in the process of completeing K1 visa, just waiting for my interview date now. I just had my medical and everything as far as im aware went well. I have type 2 diabetes which i declared to the dr, the thing is it has in the past been very poorly controlled, only in the past few months have i been dedicated to keeping it under good control, however my last HbA1c my glucose level was still high yet every other function i.e liver, kidney, urine, creatinine, cholesterol, blood pressure were all normal. I have a letter from my dr as requested by the embassy dr, it does state in it that in the past it was poorly controlled. My question is, is this gonna cause me to fail medical? It took me years to grasp the fact i am diabetic, pathetic excuse you may say but it is true, but i am now very careful with everything....a bit late some of you may say, anyway any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

No, but it could put you up shit creek in terms of medical insurance when you get here.

also i was on ramipril a while back as my kidneys were a little 'off', i forgot to mention this at my medical cos it was a long time ago and wasnt anything major, was just to sort the levels out, btw, i have never been hospitalized for my condition. Thinking about it, im now worried that that would come under kidney disease, which i said i hadnt had, my dr never said i had kidney disease so didnt think anything of it.......this is just all getting too much for me!

You are overthinking this. You are a diabetic. I take ramipril also and it was prescribed as a preventive to kidney disease brought on by diabetes. You do not have kidney disease. If you did, you would be on a regulated program to deal with it. You're not.

With respect, you are making a mountain out of something smaller than a mole hill. Having type 2 diabetes is a non-issue for US immigration purposes.
