Opinion on letter needed, please
Here is the text of the extension letter that me and the wife recently sent
to the Memphis field office. Opinions on what we wrote would be grealty
appreciated.

Regarding: File Number ****************; Request of Reschedule of
appointment & Extension of time
We would like to request a reschedule of our Adjustment of Status interview
scheduled for ***** **, 2004. We would like to request a new appointment
date for 90 days from ***** *, 2004; approximately around early to mid ****
2004.
We need additional time in order to receive copies of <Name Deleted> 2002
tax return, proof of employment letters from our employers, as well as
arranging for time off from our employers. The IRS says that it will take
60 to 90 days in order to receive the copies of <Name Deleted> 2002 tax
return from their office. Plus it will take up to 30 days or more for the
proof of employment letters to arrive from our employers.
Sorry for any inconvience this may have caused. We will notify you
immediately upon receipt of requested documentation. If you have any
questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at anytime at
***-***-****

The letter has been written and mailed. Our opinions are not important. You wrote the letter in a professional manner and gave reasons for the request. Will the TN District Office concur with you on the reasons? Only they can tell you in form of their reply.
No point worrying about it now. It is done. Keep living your life, compiling your evidence and hope for the best.

How will we know they've changed the date and approved our request? Will
they send us a letter or will they call? If we don't hear anything by a few
days before the original date, should we go or call or what?
