It is OK -- and it is only in California
Hey --do not worry. I know other states do not do it (I have lived in
other states), but California does. And yes, they do contact INS on
everyone and it takes 3-4 month. I appleid in Feb, got DL in May. My
sit. was frustrating because my EAD I presented as ID was actually
expiring few days after I applied or Drivers licence.But my
verification actually worked anyway, I got DL in June. But I know for
the fact they really contacn INS and wait or responce, on whether the
document pesented is really real. I was very frustrated, in no other
state i have seen this. But here they do it

If you are commenting on the CA DMV thread I think it would have been
better had you posted this reply in that thread instead of starting a

If you are commenting on the CA DMV thread I think it would have been
better had you posted this reply in that thread instead of starting a
