Default Which Offices Conduct Separated AOS interview?

Hi all,
I was reading previous posts of AOS interview experiences and saw it mentioned a few times that some states or some particular offices routinely conduct the initial interview with the husband and wife separately. Can you please tell me which ones?

Also, are there particular offices which in general are harsher on the applicants?

Thanks

I seem to recall the Stokes interview was standard practice at one particular district office, but now I can't remember which one.

Otherwise, it's NOT standard practice. and the Stokes interview is only done if USCIS has doubts about something.

Kentucky does so standardly.

Why should it possibly matter what other offices do? Since you don't get to choose your district office, your only concern should be whether or not *your* district office does it.

I was in the Norfolk office this past Monday and I watched a couple go in to be interviewed together and then just the wife came out. She sat and waited for a bit and then her husband came out and she went in. So looks to me like Norfolk will do it if necessary...

The Stokes interview is used normally if the interviewing officer suspects fraud. So in that respect, all district offices will use this method of interrogation from time to time.

Kentucky is the only office that we know does it routinely on each and every couple going through the AOS process. That has been our first hand knowledge since 1997/98.

Mark and I were interviewed together for Mark's AOS interview at Norfolk in 2004 (exactly 5 years ago today, actually!). We were in and out of there in 30 minutes.
