Default Notarised document UK

Hey, I wrote a post earlier regarding a statement and people suggested
having it notarised. Where can i get that done over here in the UK? is
it possible cause i've not seen anything about it.
Also has anyone travelled while their fiance visa is being process to
the same country on a waiver? i just wondered just in case mine took a
long time as i have a wedding anniversary to attend over there and was
hoping i could if the visa hadnt gone through yet.
Thanks
chris

when my fiance sent off his police record request he had his passport photo copy and birth certificate copy notorized. the woman who did it was someone important i guess. someone his grandmother knew. i think she was the head of his estate or something, i dont know. either way, i guess you just have to have someone important state that the document is official.
I have no idea if this is correct, but it worked for him.

Hi,

When I sent off for my police certificate, the form said that some documents if photocopied, need to be notarised, by either a Justice of the Peace, or else a solicitor.

Good luck,

Debbie

Certain solicitors are also "Notary Publics" - they can do it, for a fee. A
magistrate can also do it. Go to your local magistrates' court and ask at
the enquiry counter. Whether or not there will be a charge depends on the
system in that court (but it should be cheaper than a solicitor). There are
others who can notarize too, but these are the main "public" ones. Don't
forget to have both the photocopy you want to have notarized, and the
original so that it can be compared.
