Hi,

We have had our NOA1 through and I wanted to start finding out what I would need to have for the visa interview and also if I would need any vacinattions prior to my medical and what ones I would have?

I want to try and get anything done before that I can do, so any help of what I would need or websites that I can visit for assistance would be very helpful.

I know that they send information prior to the interview but I wanted to be prepared and have an idea of what I would need not to delay the process.

Was your I-129f filed in the US? If so I wouldnt worry about it quite yet, they're more than little behind at most Service Centres.

It must have been. The I-129F can't be filed abroad.

Just to clarify, the I-129F can be filed FROM abroad, but it still has to be sent to the USA. The I-129F is not like the I-130 where it can be filed at a USCIS field office overseas.

Thanks guys, the form was filed in the USA and is at Vermont service centre now!!

Just trying to see if there is anything I can get done in advance of it being accepted to be prepared!!

Have the USC look at the I-134 Affidavit of Support at www.uscis.gov to get prepared on that.

Look into getting your police certificate.

Look into getting your vaccinations up to date.

Look at the K-1 visa application forms and do a test run filling them out.

Thanks noorah that's a big help. Managed to find some information in vaccinations there seemed to quite a few on one website but not as many on another!!! and think police report lasts 6 months so will do that in a while.

For immigration purposes, the police report is good for one year.

One year, but the 'fresher' it is the more credibility it will have.

Your Fiancee the USC will need to update their Affidavat of intent to marry add in things such as where and when you intend to marry and how they understand you will be transfering your assets to the USA.

But you have a 6 month wait yet till you need to do anything

It's not an affidavit... it's a simple statement, and it doesn't need to be notarized.

dont worry bout vaccinations,they wont refuse on that but u will be required to have had them wen u file aos ,i just had a updated polio and measles vaccine im having the rest done in the us,keep collecting evidence,send everything recorded and copy everything u send in i just had my police cert bk after 4 weeks
