Default Next Step?

My American Fiance has filed the I-129F, and I have already sent the London embassy forms DS-230 Pt1, DS 156, and DS-156k. I have prepared 90% of the IV-15 checklist. Is there anything else I can forward to the London Embassy while the I-129F petition is in process - I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything

I am unclear as to what the next stage is - will the London Embassy send me more forms when the I-129F petition is approved?

Thanks for any help...

You could have your fiance start preparing the Affidavit of Support (I-134) and all the supporting documents to go with it. Always try to be thinking several steps ahead and always check everything a half dosen times.

they may send you new blank forms when they get your fiancé's petition - i rang
up and told them i had already sent them and they said i could ignore the new
ones - they were automatically generated when they got my fiancé's petition so
don't go filling them all in again.

send off the checklist as soon as you have everything. then you have a little
wait - and it's all over!

best of luck!

Thanks both very much. When the US Embassy in London receives an approved I-129F petition, do they then send me what is called 'packet 3'?? AND is that what I have already sent them? Am I likely to receive anything else?

Thanks for clarifying....

PS - My Fiance is already preparing the I-134... sound like a lot of work there!

You can email the Embassy and ask for the packet three as soon as your fiance mails the 129f in. I was assuming that all those forms you gave in your first post were the packet 3. I am not as familiar with those form numbers since I am doing the stateside paperwork on my end.

If your fiancee has already filed the 129f, ask for the packet 3 now by email from the Embassy and complete it asap. Send it back and get them to open a provisional file. Go ahead and get your police certificate as well, that can take about a month.

Cheers,

Leslie

yep packet 3 is the biog data form, 2 ds-156s (identical) and the fiancé
supplement form along with the checklist. you don't need to send them again if
you've already sent them - they're automatically generated when they receive an
approved petition.

once they have all that the next thing you receive is packet 4 which is the
payment slip, another ds-156 if you only sent one originally (as i did) and the
medical questionnaire along with the letter inviting you to the interview.

good luck

thanks again for your quick responses!!! looks like the only things i am still waiting for is my police cert and i-134 from my fiance. once i have those i will mail in the iv-15 checklist.

anyone have any idea as to how much financial info is required for the i-134 afidavit of support? will they need w2's and official letters from banks from both myself and my fiance?
