I called NVC today and they said that my file will be sent to the
consulate within 2-4 weeks from 12/10/02. I think they mentioned that
they received my case on 12/4. My second NOA was 12/2 online.
Hopefully it'll be shortest amount of time possible from NVC to the
consulate. Looking forward to an expeditious resolution to this
strenuous process.

I could be off by a few days. Not sure if he said 4th but obviously
it was between the 2nd and the 10th.

BTW, I start to think that the time lines NVC gives out are extremely conservative estimates. The real time may be a lot faster.

Yeah I checked with NVC today and they told me that the file has been
sent to the consulate. I was very happy to hear that. So now it's on
to the consulate side of things. I will call them on Monday and see
if they've received the goods or not. I want to make sure that things
are done on time because the K3 petition approval is only good for a
few months. What I am fearful of now is if the consulate puts our
case on Admin. review. There isn't anything shady with our case but I
am paranoid at this point that bad things will happen 8(

Hi ccqiu,
My wife is coming via the Islamabad Consulate in Pakistan. From what
I read, it's a fairly nuisance-free consulate but I still got my
fingers crossed. I hope the mail communications between her and the
consulate are timely and successful. I will try to keep in contact
with the consulate to attempt to minimize any fudge ups. Finally, I
hope the interview is smooth and succint. Can't wait to hold her as
it has been a very long time.
All the best,
-JM
1st NOA - 9/10
2nd NOA - 12/2 online
NVC to consulate dispatch - 12/11
+ waiting for NVC letter
+ waiting for packet 3
