Great that the guide is now included in the Wiki. It was actually PepsiChic who wrote it though

**you need to file for AOS after you're married and and preferably before your 90 days of K-1 status is up (as indicated by the date on your I-94)**
I'm a little bit confused by the above.
I arrived in the US on Aug 4th, and got married on Oct 31st, within the 90 days..... exactly how long can we wait after the wedding, until we send of my AOS?
Reading the link it sounds like we only had two or three days after the wedding?
I'm a little bit confused by the above.

Thanks all for posting the guide, I found it a great resource when compiling my AOS package.
Once I've heard back from Uncle Sam I'll let you know how it went.

Good Wiki.
A bit OT, but as we're on the same subject - I've updated the tax-filing-in-London Wiki to allow for the 2009 tax year.

There is no time limit as to when you must file for adjustment. However, up to the 90-day limit of your K-1, you are "in status". Every day after that until your AOS paperwork is accepted, you are "out of status". Ideally, you want to minimize the time you are "out of status". Besides, the sooner you file the AOS paperwork, the sooner you get work and travel authorization.
