Define "break me"
We stayed in a very nice place for the price in July - Comfort Inn - Kennsington. It was 63.00 pounds per night and that was high season (it will be cheaper in Sept.) Located on Cromwell Rd. and about a 3 block walk from Earls Court tube station. Several supermarkets / coffee shops / restaraunts (cheap and good) all within walking distance - would stay there again in a minute........

Everything in London will break you, the question is how badly. Me and my now-wife, used to stay here when she came to visit:

Jesmond Hotel,
63 Gower Street,
London WC1 E6HJ
phone: (0207) 636-3199

At the beginning of this year, it was 64 pounds a night for a nice double room with bathroom. If you are staying more than 8 or 9 nights, they will knock a night off the bill if you ask them nicely. We were really happy staying there.

If you can wait until the day you go,try
www.book2night.com

Hotels discount their rooms at the last minute and you can get some really good last minute deals.
