Do you have a link to the website that states the processing times of visas? I have looked on the Embassy website and cannot find it.

This page:

Can provide estimate for I130 if you are filing directly with the embassy.

I don't mean to be rude, but why are you posting it on this thread.

This thread is about direct consular filing which is NOT what you are doing and it's processing, until your case is transferred to London.

I'm replying to my own thread about DCF in London, just trying to document my experiences in case others find themselves in similar situation.

Just an update, still waiting for a physical NOA2 or NVC letter, roughly 4 weeks after USCIS told us that I-130 was approved.
Not sure whats going on. Have emailed USCIS London and filled in website form but no response yet.

Visa hopper,,

If you filed the I-130 in London, your case will not go through NVC, so don't expect to hear from them.

Ah OK, thought they might be the one sending the case number. So its just the embassy/USCIS London?

Yes. When the I-130 is filed in London, NVC plays no part in the process at all.

Hmmm then why are you waiting a notice from the National Visa Center?

I see Rene asked also as only people who file stateside deal with a service center and the NVC.

I was just confused about who provided the case number.

Re: My I-130 DCF for IR-1 experience so far...

Good news: Yesterday 14th April I finally got a letter in the mail!
It contains my case number and tells me to apply for the visa itself.
I never received anything in the mail with my self-addressed letter (the notice of approval itself?) - this might have been because as they told me via email they didn't bother posting it, although the email said they had.
The letter is from the "Immigrant Visa Branch" of the embassy, and was dated April 12.

Things should be pretty straightforward for me from here on out, but will keep the thread updated for those of you following in my steps, and will summarize at the end.
