jm,

Permanent Resident.

The language is the best that can be expected under the circumstances.

We are just getting the letter from the new employer. It says ".....earnings are expected to be at least $x per week." Is that language OK? Especially the word "expected" as opposed to having a guaranteed min. Since it's commision based there is no guaranteed min.

I suggest "$x per year"... otherwise the interviewer will have to do some simple arithmetic to figure out whether or not the amount is reasonable. Be aware that possible future earnings will likely not be taken into consideration.

I agree, show the amount on an annual basis, if possible. Makes it easier for the officer to determine whether he qualifies.

I also don't like the phrase "expected to be...", although I understand why they did that, since commission isn't guaranteed.

Just submit what you can, and be prepared to use a joint sponsor if necessary.
