MSC Approval and some hope!
Finally, approval from MSC. My wife has been waiting in the Bahamas
since November for her K-3 Visa since that is where we were married.
She's from China and we meet in Egypt while I was on assignment there.
I know that the time for approval was shorter than most. In the
middle of January, she had a problem with her pregnancy and has been
in the hospital or under a Doctors care ever since. Right after she
went to the Emergency room, I contacted Congressman Mica and Senator
Nelson's offices for help (while I was waiting for a plane to fly
over). Jean, Congressman Mica's aide has been a Godsend. I've talked
to her at least three times a week about my wife's situation. In
addition to helping with INS, she's really helped keep my spirits up
when I was frustrated and worried.
I'm very glad that we finally have approval, I just feel sad that
there are many people that have waited longer, especially Wisdom over
Wealth.
Some hope for all the MSC inmates out there, The Congressional aide
confirmed that MSC is "picking up speed" on K-3 processing and seem to
be going much faster now. IMHO they seem to work in bursts, apps sit
for a while then they seem to concentrate on them for a period. Then
again could be cause of the changeover to Homeland Security in March,
maybe they've been instructed to get the backlog down before the
changeover (just guessing … and hoping so for everybody pending).
Timeline
I-130
1st NOA 11-28-02
I-129
1st NOA 12-24-02 (Sent on 12-04 but had typo on the check - Dummy me!)
2nd NOA 02-20-03
Best of luck to everybody,
Rob & Yuan
BTW – My wife and our baby are out of immediate danger. She's
feeling much better now that I called her with the news
since November for her K-3 Visa since that is where we were married.

Rob, Yaun & baby!
Congrads... I'm so glad your reps could help and were there to support you.
I'm glad to hear some good news... It has taken an attitude check to really
genuinely feel happy for others getting their blessings.. but none the
less... Rock On! Don't forget to let us know when the newest package
arrives..

Re: MSC Approval and some hope!
Yuan and I wanted to thank everybody for the comments. I've never
seen a group with so many good people in it. Perhaps 'cause we all
share similar frustration and suffering just to see our love ones.
We still have some big hurdles left, but at least somethings
happening!
Best of luck & thanks again!!!

Thanks Wisdom,
Man, we really feel for you ... wish there was something we could do
to help. You should write a book or go on Oprah or something.
BTW - About the newest package, did you mean packet 3 or the packet
with the stinky diapers
