Medical on same day as interview i-130?
Hello, My daughter (age 10) is having her interview in London next month for the i-130, and so has to have her medical done as well. I wondered if anyone had done both on the same day, rather than going the week before for the medical? It would save me flying over for a length of time, if it could be done on the same day. Thanks in advance.

It can no longer be done on the same day. I would strongly suggest you make the appointment for you ASAP for the medical and get it over and done with. Isn't there anyone else in the UK that can take her to the appointment? Why must you go there with her instead of another adult?

You posted this in both this forum and the marriage-based but I'll continue to reply in this realm.
Since you know the date of the interview and you know that you will have to go to the UK to be with your daughter for the interview and to escort her back to the US, perhaps you can make your trip for a two week period and during that time pack her up and get her things ready for shipment, go to London for the medical and then the interview a few days later. As long as you have an address in London or the area where her passport with the visa can be delivered by courier, you can wait there until it is received and then fly out together.

Well she is staying with my exhusband (her Father) and there's no way he would take her. My Mother or Aunt could take her, but it's an 1100 mile round trip. They are in SW Scotland, over 500 miles from London :-( I have 2 babies here and was hoping to just fly out for a few days, so it's a bit difficult having to fly the whole family out for a few weeks, but I guess it has to be done argh!
