Default May 2008 Visa Bulletin

EB3 (rest of world) belted on a fair few months

Still about 30 days or so too short for my priority date though

How long have you been waiting so far ? (Since you received your priority date)

yeah, I managed to get in during the July nonsense last year
but I-140 was approved April 06. Not getting me hopes up but will be interesting to see how it pans out and if there is any movement on someone actually picking up files and starting to process them

It's not when your I-140 was approved, it's when it was filed.

When was it filed? You never know, you may be in for a pleasant surprise if you filed pre-March 2006.

I also have a question about the May 2008 VB.

If someone's PD is March 15th 2006, does this mean they miss out by 15 days? Or do you think they stand a chance of getting packet 4 in May?

I ask this, not for my own situation, for someone I know in the UK going through Consular Processing.

Mr F.......any ideas?

What if, due to the number of people with PDs 3/2-3/15 exceeds the number of available visa numbers? The PD doesn't advance.

It's not in real time; it doesn't advance one day per calendar day. It can be stuck at Mar01 for six months, or it could advance by 45 days or.. well, whatever.

I presume you mean Priority date, in which case its April 06. The approval notice was dated May or June 06

Not necessarily. If a Labor Cert is filed, then that date is the priority date.

Of course, that's correct, Labor is always filed for EB-3.
