Hi,

I am new to this forum. I have a question. I ve been visiting USA on visit visa for 1 year. I have a US citizen girl friend and we are planning of getting married when i visit her next time. I dont know much about this but i think she will file I-130 or adjustment of status. Please correct me if i m wrong.

You can get married on your next visit to the USA. Your USC wife will then file form I-130. You will return to your home country for immigrant visa processing (leaving the USA before your I-94 expires). You'll eventually receive an Immigrant Visa, and then you will use that visa to enter the USA to live and work permanently.

It is illegal to come to the USA on a visitor visa, with the intent to remain and adjust status, so that method won't work for you.

You are the one who files adjustment of status, if you are eligible.
