Default Married F-1 student, where to file forms?

Me and my wife recently got married 2/20/04, and she is here on her F-1 status. She also now has a job since she applied for that as well, I'm not sure what it was called, but I know she is legally allowed to stay here til 5/30/04. We want to file the immigration forms so that she can stay here with me and not have to go back to her country. I have downloaded all the forms and was wondering where do I file them? I live in Florida and I've read to file it to Texas Service Center, but I asked someone else about it and they said to just file them all at the local Jacksonville INS Building. Also the only set back may be that I am a recent college graduate and of course do not have the 3 yrs of over poverty status that I am required to have. Can I just have a friend sponsor me? I love my wife dearly and I want her to stay here. Please help

Check here for where to file and, yes, anyone can (co)sponsor, doesn't have to be a family member.

Oh, and congratulations on your marriage.

Best wishes

Thanks for the information, but I went there and it doesn't say if I can file the form I-130 there or not; if i file my forms do I file them all at the same time or do I file the 130 at TSC and the rest at Jacksonville?

I would send the I-130 with the rest of the package as it can be filed concurrently.

Yes, if she is adjusting her status, you should file it at the local office, this information could be found in the instructions to the I-485 forms, and you should file all the forms together.

hello,
My husband and I are in the same situation as you guys are. i'm on
F-1, right now on OPT. We just files everything couple weeks ago.

You have to send all your forms: I-130, I-485, (I-765- so she can
work)to your local INS office.

Good luck
If you need some help, feel free to e-mail me.
