MARRIED! But now the AOS..........
Hello y'all. Catherine entered 11 Oct, we were married on 19 Oct under a huge old Spanish oak in a small state park. Was a "Levi's wedding", very simple but moving, about 70 friends and relatives. BBQ after! Today (22 Oct) we went to New Orleans INS office to file for AOS and EAD. We did not really receive much info. We WERE told, however, that the EAD would take 60-90 day and that it could take up to 540 days for the AOS! Is this possible? A year and a half? Has anyone else had any recent AOS/EAD experiences with the New Orleans office?
Once again, We would like to thank all who have shared their experiences with the forum. Our progress through this process has been eased by the advice and support of many of you.
BTW, I have to say that 2 people who have especially impressed me by their calmness, patience, measured responses, knowledge and willingness to help others are Rete and folinskyinla. They both deserve a lot of praise.

Took me almost two years with Arlington (though that was partly because they
screwed up and lost my change of address twice). Some offices are quicker,
some are much much longer! You can find current estimates here:

Our EAD took less than 30 days from Arlington, VA.

Me and my financeé Jcapulet would love to hear about how that goes! I'm gearing up for the first interview havent had the physical or anything yet. No worries there though We are hoping her next visit to myself is our last goodbye..the next one will be me stepping off the plane! Congratualations! Sorry I cant help with the questions you guys have but we would love to know how it turns out! We hear the after marriage interview is much more into the "details", is it as bad as most dating game shows? Any information would be welcome friend. Take care and all the best from us! what's the first thing your going to do after everything is all said and done??
