you would need to have ap to insure that the foreign spouse can get back in.

My fiance and i were wondering if after we ge married in the US if we could fly over
to the UK and have a blessing over there for his parents and friends who could not
make it. Would the INS give us a hard time coming back into the US?

After your wedding you need to file the Adjustment of Status. With it you can file
for Advance Parole - travel document. Without an AP, your spouse would most likely be
denied reentry to the US, and you'd have to start all over with a new I-130
application, which can take a few years to process. See this link for more
information: http://www.k1faq.com/#6.7 Take Care. Shelley
