All,
Quick Q-
For the GC interview would they turn you away if you did not have your marriage certificate on hand or would they allow you to send it in later? We have ours on Monday morn and for some reason cannot find the spare copies of the cert we purchased!
Thanks!

They did not ask to see ours at our AOS interview. A photocopy should already be in your file, but it's possible they may ask to see the original. But I highly doubt it will be an issue if you can't produce it. I doubt they would ask for a photocopy of it later, since it's already in your file. And NEVER send originals of anything in the mail, esp to USCIS, you'll never see it again. LOL Well, unless you don't mind ordering another original eventually.

Okay, that's what I thought. My husband is concerned that it cannot be used. We do have a copy of the original that we could send. Do you think that's worth doing just in case?

That is intended to defeat color copiers. Actually the "void" signs show that is more likely than not a photocopy of an authentic document!
