Marriage before getting Permanent Residency (Green Card)?
Hello,
My I-140 just got approved and I am going in for consular processing
in India. I have yet to fill in Package 3.
For my wife to get a GC with me by when should I marry her? Before
filling Package 3 or before going to consulate?
Also, if we don't marry before I get my GC - is it true that she will
not get a GC for 5 years?

If you get married before you ENTER AS AN IMMIGRANT, then she qualifies for "acompanying" or "following to join" classification. If you marry AFTER you ENTER as an immigrant, then you would have to do an "F-2A" I-130 and that has a backlog in it.
