marraige and TN
I have a TN Visa that expires at the end of June and I'm uncertain if I'd be able to renew it. My boyfriend asked me to marry him on Friday.
Do we set a date sometime in the future and apply for a change of status in the meantime? Or would it be better if we get married while we on vacation in Vegas next week then apply for change of status? Or do I need to return to Canada before I can do anything?
I would like to continue working if its at all possible.

What citizenship does your boyfriend have? The answer to your question
will be humongously different depending on that question.

You've definitely got some issues to work through here, but let's get
terminology right here, so you don't get confused later on. You don't
have a TN visa. You have TN status. A visa is a special full page
stamp in your passport that permits one to appear at a US port of entry
to request permission to enter. Canadians do not normally need visas to
enter the US.
Now, you've got a couple of choices. The first is to get married before
your TN status expires. This means that your husband can file an I-130
(Petition for an Immigrant Visa), an I-485 (Request to Adjust Status),
an EAD Application (Employment Authorization Document) and AP (Advanced
Parole), virtually all at the same time. Make sure there's enough time
to get the EAD, and then you can continue working.
The alternative is to apply for a Fiancee visa. You must then be
married within 3 months of approval. You also then apply for the I-130
route as above.

Thank you for your answer Stuart.
Sounds like if I go the fiancee vias direction then I am taking an extra step so I suppose we have a few months to decide which round we go

You and your spouse must file Form I-130/I-485, together with I-765 if you
want employment authorization (work permit), and I-131 if you want advance
parole (permission to travel outside the U.S). You can check the fees at
http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/fo...orms/index.htm. Please note
that the fees will be going up in a few days.
You will also need some photos, probably about $80 worth at $10 a pair.
You'll have to have a medical exam done at $150 to $200.
As soon as you have your marriage certificate from the hall of records, and
other supporting documentation, you and your spouse can file the package.
An interview will be scheduled some months later. At the interview, if all
goes very well, you will become a permanent resident. See
http://members.aol.com/MDUdall/instimes.htm for the approximate time for
your district office. There might be some further delays.
The same site give you approximate processing times for the work permit and
travel authorization, measured from the date of filing.
