Major K3 Problem
I got my first NOA on August 3rd, the notice came from Nebraska. I just
noticed on the K3 application, that if it's for a wife, then send it to
Chicago office, if it's for Fiance then send it to Nebraska. A Small
immigration office charged me $1000 to complete the paperwork. and they send
it to the wrong place. After talking to the congresswoman many times, they
got things moving and had my file moved to Missouri and Missouri send me a
NOA in September. Now on the status online page, I see this message.
Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Current Status:
On February 20, 2003, your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received here
for processing. It is taking between 150 and 180 days for us to process this
kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.
Should I demand my money back from the small immigration office? Should I
raise hell?
Thanks

Re: Major K3 Problem
My lawyer also sent my package to the wrong office... Let me know if you get
anything... or I was told to do a bar complaint.

YES!!
Do everything possible to get your money back. There is no reason why anyone should charge $1000 to fill out an application to begin with.

I am confused! You finally get it sent to the right place (and hell yes I'd go after that small immigration office to get some of that money back, think small claims court!!!) with a NOA in Sept and now you get another one for Feb also from MSC, still considered a first NOA? Two of the same thing?
Thanks
