Maiden name/married name
When we applied for the I-130 we used my wife's married name, however, as she hadn't applied for a passport by this surname, we submitted a copy of her old passport bearing her maiden name. When the NVC got in touch with us, the letter was addressed using her maiden name. She lived outside of the UK for over 6 months and needed to apply for a police certificate from this country, which despite applying using her married name came back with her maiden name. She is yet to apply for the UK police certificate and is wondering whether to apply using her maiden so that everything matches up. She has since applied for a passport in her married name which she plans to take to the interview. Would the surname not matching up through the process cause any problems?

Re: Maiden name/married name
The ACPO form for the UK police certificate asks for all names a person has used, so it doesn't really matter which name you apply in.
