Default LPR looking to bring wife

Hi, Im looking at bringing my wife to the US. I have been in the US
for the last 16 years. Ive had my green card since June of 2000. We
got married (traditional weeding) on 3/3/02, but we only got
officially married on 12/10/03. Both marriages were conducted in South
Africa.

My sister in law, mentioned that there might be a way for an LPR to
get a visa for the spouse. Any truth to that?

Other than waiting for my citizenship, is there anything else that
would get her here faster?

Thanks for any and all information

The last time I looked, it took about 6 years for a spouse of a PR to
get an immigrant visa. You will be eligible to apply for citizenship 90
days before the 5th anniversary of your green card status. That is about
5 months from now. If it takes a year to get your citizenship, then
you can apply in about 1 1/2 years from now and it should take a few
months to a year to get her an immigrant visa (IR-1). A K-3 might be a
little quicker. But the fastest way is for you to get citizenship..........

You've had your green card long enough to apply for naturalization. If you are a USC you will get your wife here quicker.
