Default looking for stories of K-visa approvals

Hello everyone,

I am looking for people who have recieved their k-visas since July
2002 and their timelines.

The reason for my request is that My fiance's visa is delayed in
Moscow. My congressperson contacted them and they stated that ALL
visas are delayed because of the new security checks.

That statement does not seem to be true based on posts I have seen
here of people receiving their visas on the day of the interview.

feel free to e-mail me directly or post it here.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

dedicated to the visa delays.

David-
Visas are not being issued in Moscow, in fact, they have the worst back log of all and nothing has been issued to true Russian fiance'es. Visas only to former republics

I understand your frustration, but unfortunately from the information I have gathered in the last few months from friends and acquaintances processing visas in Europe, the security checks on that side of our world are taking a while and delaying things a bit.

It's not BS guys... I empathize with the anxiety you are feeling but getting your congressman involved will definitely help things along. Also, maintaining constant contact with the embassy via emails requesting updates or having your spouse call in also helps at times. And of course, the less nervous and irate you seem when you speak to them the better. Remember they wield a power few people will ever have in their lifetimes... (they distance families at their will) no need to p- them off.

Good luck and keep that chin up guy. Before you know it you'll have her with you

Yes, I know they are delayed in Moscow, I am one who is waiting. What
I am looking for is people from other countries who have not been
delayed such as Canada, England, France etc. to counter the story from
Moscow that everyones visas are delayed.

My husband received his K-3 visa last week (October 8), from Israel. Here is his timeline:

April 24 NOA for the I-130
May 3 NOA for the I-129F
August 1 I-129F approved
October 8 Interview at 9am in Tel Aviv, and he picked up his visa at 3pm that day.

Hope this helps, and the best of luck to you

Moscow told my congreswoman that these visas were being delayed
EVERYWHERE but I have read on this board of visas being issued on the
day of the interview at other embassies. Therefore I am looking for
specific examples to take back to my rep and get her to investigate
further.

My friend from North Carolina just e-mailed me that his visa was approved from Warsaw. Former republics, as verified by this example, are receiving INS approval in less than 45 days and picking up visas on the same day as the interview. It is true. When I heard this a while back, I e-mailed the consular at Warsaw and he confirmed this in a letter to me. Of the Soviet Republics, only Russia is getting screwed!!

Just for consideration, and for anyone who feels Russia (Moscow) is backed
logged, or not issuing K-1 Visas.
Some INS facts for you.
The interview for your fiancé is BASED ON RESIDENCY, not on NATIONALITY.
Meaning, is your sweetheart lives in Odessa, Ukraine but holds a Passport
(Nationality) from Poland, Russia, Moldova - whatever, the interview will be
held in regards to where they live, not what country citizenship they are
from and retain.
On time tables on Visa issues, I do not know what this holds, but on
logistics' Warsaw, Moscow, Bucharest, ect. it maters.
Make sure the passport and the country (they) live in match! important with
your I-824 case type (i.e. Please cable), and any arrangements you might
have preconceived notions of.
