Default London K1 Success

Hi all,

Yesterday in the Embassy in London...another K1 success occured....for me this time.
Its a great feeling. Thanks are required to the newsgroup for all assistance prior to
this......and I am sure for a time to come also. I will post my experience
later...which for those of you with it to come was an absolute breeze. I couldn't
have imagined it any easier. My partner in the States is over the moon.......as were
the kids. Now we can actually start making more solid and secure plans.

This newsgroup prevented the further loss of my hair, and to all going through any
visa process....use it, and use it well. People on here never seem tired of answering
the range of questions posted. I am sure I will have many more postings myself. But
for now thanks to all of you who gave advice...even when I felt my questions were
basic or stupid. We all worry whether we want to or not....and after the event...like
me, you will all wonder why. Easy for me to say now I have my K1, but I worried like
anyone prior to the event. For those still with the interview and medical
ahead.....it can be done, is done and is surprisingly easier than you would imagine
if you prepare for it with the use of this newsgroup. Just keep reading posts, and
get familiar with it all.

Good luck to all whatever visa or stage they are at. AOS is out next stop. I am sure
the posts from me will appear again soon HaHa.

Thanks G

Congratulations

But people don't have to read posts only Gavin. They should first read the FAQ and the Mysterious Brown Envelope. This provides the true handle/cup of the procedure. The advice of the NG is the liquid needed to be sure the cup is filled.

I ask that you post your K-1 experience here as well.

I'd argue, Rita, that the most important source of information for anyone coming from the UK is what is given on the London Embassy's website:

Congratulations, btw, Gavin. Another Scot bites the dust.

Congratulations and Good luck for the future.

I'm going through the I-130 process with my wife, it can be really frustrating
having no contact or wondering if you have done everything correctly. Mine was
sent to London 7 weeks ago and not a "dicky bird" yet. I know that without the
help of this board, and one other, I would never have got this far, lets hope ours
goes as smoothly as yours, when I eventually get to the interview !! Good luck
again. Roger (+ Ida)

Yes your right Rete, there are definite benefits to reading the various K1 etc sites
prior to going through it. Forewarned is forearmed. Good advice is on most of them.
When I setlle a little and have the time I sure will post on both. Thanks for the
congrats. G
