First,

I sent my packet 3 to the London embassy using the UK post offices "Special Delivery" service. This means my stuff is signed-for at the embassy and I can confirm it's delivery using the PO web page or phone-in service. Get details from the post office you send your packet 3 from. It's not expensive... only 3 pounds extra - good value really.

Second,

The turn-round of the packet 3 was incredibly fast. I sent it on the Monday and on the following Saturday, I had the medical/interview appointment package back - that's less than a week! If this is how quick they are, there is no point in them sending out any kind of confirmation.

This is current info - like during the last three weeks.

Does this help? :-)

Brian (UK - for now).

Oh my, that is fast! Thx for sharing. I should say I guess, that I am only about to
send of OF-230-1, OF-156 and DS-156K at this point. Still waiting for my mans tax
transcripts to arive before I can send the checklist.

Thx...ntepy

You wont get a receipt as such. A few weeks later, though, you should receive your London case number.

We were expecting it to take about four weeks, but we had got everything done certificates-wise etc while we were waiting for the 129f to be approved. When the pkt3 arrived so quickly, after dealing with months of delays from the TSC, it was easy to turn the checklist etc round over a weekend.

If you are interested, the full timeline and commentary is on our website (see signature).

Brian.
