Talk about lack of details!! How did she immigrate to the USA in the first place? How did she end up in deportation procedings? Why was the appeal refused? We're only hearing a very small portion of a very long story.

None of it makes sense.
Not exactly stuffed either, just need to file the waiver and enter legally.

Does not seem any worse than most other African Countries.
She has not, according to the story, applied for Assylum.
