Disagree! You may indeed marry on a VWP and adjust status to remain in the US under certain circumstances. Many on this board have even followed this hallowed path. Just because you have some personal argument against, doesn't mean that you should spread disinformation.

Without specifying what those "certain circumstances" are, the uninformed might just think that it's allowable under any and all circumstances. Who is doing the greater disservice, I wonder... me, who keeps people completely out of trouble; or you, who may inadvertently cause someone a great deal of trouble?

You are also quite wrong when you say your advice keeps people completely out of trouble. A potential marriage AOS in overstay who reads your deliberate misinformation could end up with a 10-year ban by simply following your post.

Although I know it's very unfashionable in the US at the moment, I usually find that the truth and the facts allow people to make their own judgments. That's what I gave them in the post you referred to. If they are too stupid to ask for or discover the clearly expressed qualifier, then that's their problem.
